October 20, 2008 is the launch date for the IASP 2008-2009 Global Year Against Cancer Pain.  I encourage you to plan events, media releases, seminars, etc. throughout 2009 on the topic of cancer pain.

An IASP Task Force chaired by Judith Paice, PhD and Eija Kalso, MD, PhD is working on fact sheets and articles for future issues of PAIN: CLINICAL ISSUES on the topic. These items will be available on the IASP Web site in the near future and throughout the year.
